Type of school and Course of studies

Starting from school year 2010/2011, the reform of secondary education has been introduced, to begin with first class, and will be gradually completed in the next four years.

The course specializing in Tourism will have  a duration of 5 years; the range of subjects studied has been widened and contents have been improved (in  particular, a third language will be studied from third year). The students will have the opportunity to acquire skills and competences also through laboratory activities and special projects (presence of mother-tongue teachers, cross-curricular activities, CLIL methodology, training sessions) and will be encouraged  to take exams such as Hôtellerie et Tourisme of the French Chamber of commerce or University of Cambridge KET and PET.

The courses in Business Administration and Social Care will also last 5 years and will consist of two periods of 2 years each plus a final year leading to the high school certificate: about 35% of teaching in the last 3 years is to be carried out in the form of laboratory activities and/or work experience/training sessions.
